“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:14-17
“For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I (Jesus) am among you as one who serves.” (Luke 22:27) Jesus set an example for Christians that we are to serve as Jesus served. At DuBois Alliance we believe so strongly in this that we are even teaching our children to serve those around them. There are opportunities for everyone in the church to participate in a service opportunity and reach out to the community.
What are some of the outreaches DuBois Alliance has done?
